PCs (lvl 1): Ella, Endrill, Skrolk, Sshisah, Tarlyn
The PCs follow the kobold Meepo to the goblin's territory. They encounter a couple of magical fountains, vestiges of the powerful magic once permeating the citadel.
In a dark, stinky room, they fight more giant rats, and they even manage to kill a bloated monstrosity of a rat as big as a man. The fight proves them greatly, and they decide to rest in the room and continue their exploration the day after.
They eventually come into contact with the goblins, killing them mercilessy. They find a prison area where they release a group of kobolds and a gnome by the name of Erky Timbers.
Erky tells the PCs that the goblins take orders from a spellcaster called Belak. He has heard that Belak tends an evil tree the goblins call the Gulthias Tree, deep under the citadel. As a way of thanking the PCS for saving him, Erky follows them in their exploration of the citadel.
The PCs find a room guarded by skeletons, and containing an altar dedicated to evil gods. From the altar they recover a few magical trinkets, among them the Night Caller, a magical whistle with dark powers.
