Intro

Shadowthrone, God of Death. He stole the portfolio of Death from the Raven Queen herself, and seized Nightwyrm Spire in the Shadowfell as his own. 

Shadowthrone, God of Death. Yet so many other gods grant power over death to their most powerful servants. Souls, coming and going, at the whim of mortals. This will not do. 

Shadowthrone, God of Death. Tired of this game. Looking for a new one. Greed, Need, the perfect bait for mortal souls. I will make them powerful, I will test them, and when they die, they will be mine. Only mine.

 This is the catch. Your character has an issue that can be solved only by petitioning a god. Up to you to come up with what it is that you need. You have been approached by a servant of the God of Death (up to you to determine what his form was when he presented itself to you). 

You have been offered a deal: complete the Seven Tasks that the God of Death will present to you, and you shall be granted your wish. This will be granted directly by Shadowthrone, so you can go crazy with it. Richest person in your world? Fine. Never age? Easy. Become a golden dragon? Sure. Become a god? Nope...

The downside of the deal? If you die, your soul belongs to Shadowthrone. No coming back from the dead.
