PCs (lvl 1): Ella, Endrill, Skrolk, Sshisah, Tarlyn
The PCs are in the Shadowfell, in the realm of Shadowthrone, god of death. They meet with the Keeper of Oaths, servant of Shadowthrone. They seal a pact with him, and are maked with the symbol of the god. The task ahead of them is clear, to recover 7 coins imbued with the god's power. With those coins, they'll be able to "pay the price" and be granted their heart's desire.

They seal a pact with him, and are maked with the symbol of the god. The task ahead of them is clear, to recover 7 coins imbued with the god's power. The Keeper opens a portal behind them, and sends them back to the Prime Material Plane, on the world of Oerth. They reach the town of Oakhurst, where they learn of a ruin called the "Sunless Citadel". Intrigued by it, they travel to the ravine where it is said the citadel was cast down into.
They climb down the ravine, and find the entrance to the citadel. Inside, they face a few traps and ravenous rats, until they meet a community of kobolds. They are brought to the leader of these creature, and forge an alliance of sorts. They will help the kobolds recover their "pet" dragon, kidnapped by a band of goblin sharing the same dungeon. In exchange, the kobolds will deliver to them a key to access the most holy rooms of the citadel.
