A view of Sigil |
The PCs meet a few patrons of the Yawning Portal, among
them the tabaxi Merci Sicaris. They find commong ground
and decide to join forces.
A tiefling named Kylie approaches the group. She
introduces herself as a "tout", a guide of sorts. She
explains to the PCs that they've ended up in a very special
place that she calls "the Cage", a city at "the center of the Multiverse" with portals to reach any place the mind can conjure. Wizards and Sages call this place Sigil.
She entertains them with snippets of info regarding the ins-and-outs of the city, and then offers her services to guide them into the Lower Ward of the planar metropolis.
After a few hours experiencing the wonders of Sigil, a portal opens in the doorway of the Black Sails tavern. Clearly, adventure is calling!
The PCs step into the portal, and find themselves in the Gryphon's Nest, one more tavern on one more unknown Prime world. They interact with the locals until they hear the legend of the dwarven enclave of Khundrukar, lost to rampaging orcs, but said to still contain ancient artifacts.
