Altar of Zotzilaha

PCs (lvl 6): Nuada, Olbis, Sshisah, Tarlyn

The party solves the mistery of the smoking mirrors, and discover a secret passage, leading them to an octopus-shaped altar. The altar is a trap of sorts.

Having reached a dead end, the PCs retrace their steps, reaching a huge room occupied by the diorama of an alienlandscape. On the top of a miniature volcano, they enter a tunnel that brings them to a room guarded by a Water Weird, an elemental creature made of water.

They defeat the creature, and continue their exploration, eventually reaching a treasure room where a centaur mummy makes its lair. The PCs destroy the undead, and loot the room.

Not far from this room they find a way to climb out of the temple, and see the open sky once again. They find themselves among ruins dominated by an altar dedicated to a bat god. They fall prey to the deadly trap guarding the altar, but are rewarded with the treasure hidden below the altar itself.

Among the riches, they find the Third Coin of Shadowthrone. Nuada touches the coin, and has a short conversation with the Lord of Death.

When he comes back to his senses, the coin activates a portal in a nearby archway. Stepping through, the PCs find themselves back in Sigil, in the Yawning Portal.
