The party meets with the Prophet of the Bull of Vengeance, gathering more insight related to Shadowthrone's past and the Prime Material Plane he hails from, a world called Tyrrah.
Eager to complete the crafting of his hammer, Broch asks the others to accomany him to the dwarven city of Mirabar, where he plans to use the great forge inside the temple of Moradin where he first learned his skills has a weaponsmith. The party plane shifts to Mirabar, but Broch is not welcome at the Temple. The High Priestess is angered by the fact he abandoned the faith, and what she consider his disrespect toward Moradin.
Broch decides to visit his siblings, Dain and Nellie, who are now the leaders of a thieves' guild. The two have no love for Broch, but when he offers them 50,000 gold pieces to help him take control of the forge of Moradin, they are willing to listen. Soon after, the true leader of the guild, a beholder, makes his appearance to bargain with the party.
They eventually reach an agreement, and the party is allowed to remain in the lair of the guild for a few days. In an abandoned section of the lair, they meet an old dwarf, a prisoner long forgotten by the guild. The dwarf is impressed by the party's magical skills, and begins rambling about the Na Daoine, the true "forgemasters". Intrigued by his words, the PCs free the old dwarf, and heal him of his wounds.
